What to expect when roofing my home

  • Your material will be delivered prior to the start of the job, Please notify your H&R rep once materials are delivered.
  • Your material should be set to the right or left side of your drive and should not block your access. If your access is blocked please notify H&R ASAP.
  • H&R protect landscaping and outdoor furniture as needed and may use tarps or plywood during this process
  • Please put any pets up or if they are sensitive to loud noise you may want to have them stay with a friend or at a kennel for a day or so during the roofing process. (Pets sometimes get very destructive to furniture or plants etc if left alone in the home during the roofing process do to all the hammering and noise.
  • Be prepared for a lot of noise and hammering.
  • H&R’s normally operation hours are Monday thru Saturday from daylight to dark, (sometimes it may be necessary to work after dark with lighting to secure the roof or finish certain items.)
  • H&R order’s excess material and it is normal to have some left over once a job is completed, A rep will be by after the job is complete to pick up any excess material.
  • Please use caution if you need to be outside during the roofing process due to falling debris and nails on the ground. These items are dangerous and we prefer if you do not get to close to the roofing as it is being completed if at all possible.
  • Most roofs take 1 to 2 days to complete
  • The roofing process is a messy process, but once the roof is complete we will clean and remove all debris.
  • We use a nail magnet to sweep the yard and remove any nails that may not be visible, Note: we make ever attempt to remove all nails but sometimes you may find a few that have been overlooked or that were buried in the grass that the magnet could not remove.
  • Sometimes it may be necessary for you to move vehicles so we may gain access.
  • During the process H&R personnel will be onsite throughout the day to inspect and oversee the project.
  • If you have any questions please contact your rep or the office and we will address any concerns
  • Sometimes drywall pops may occur do to the installation and hammering on the roof, these happens from time to time and will be addressed and corrected after the roof has been installed.
